Guest guest
Yes, dizziness can be a real problem. It can be caused by many different things. I have neurally mediated hypotension. Unlike postural hypotension which causes an immediate fall in blood pressure (which causes dizziness) as soon as you rise from your chair and move, with neurally mediated hypotension you may get all the way across the room before your blood pressure crashes and you hit the floor. This happens most during flare-up times of the ReA. It is also a symptom of fibromyalgia making it difficult now to separate which is the cause. For me this has been going on since early teen years. It can become so troublesome that I can't work or drive. I've learned how to move slowly...which causes others to make fun of me. Normally I would be a rapid racer around any room or activity. Had to stop that! One suggestion: Increase your salt intake if you are not on a salt-free diet. THis can reduce the symptoms if they are caused by either form of hypotension. Consult with your doctor before doing this. Better, still, ask your doctor about this symptom and possible treatments. When fatigue is the greatest, so is the dizziness caused by the hypotension. The only solution then is rest and sleep. Of course there are other causes of dizziness and you can only determine the actual cause by consulting with your doctor. Guest guest
Dear Ken, She probably has a candida colony in her middle ear. It can produce dizziness and loss of hearing. Guest guest
Dear Ken. I agree with Dr Pressman. Alternatively,3% H2O2 made from food grade 35% H2O2 can be used in the ear. It will fizz like mad and probably take more treatments than using ozone, but also may be effective. I personally recommend http://www.sanoviv.com to people who have fallen through the medical diagnosis cracks if they want conventional medicine mixed with the best of alternative medicine. The clinic is in the Baja in Mexico where they are not under US law. The clinic is not inexpensive, but has an incredible success rate with misdiagnoses. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Hi Ken. I read a similar story on the EFT site and EFT was effective for it. I think, " Even tho I am dizzy and don't know why. . . " was the right statement. It is free and is worth a try. It can also be your body getting used to the extra endorphins. Gisele wrote: > I've noticed in the past two weeks since I've been on LDN, I've been > dizzy at times. Guest guest
Hi Gisele: Yes, I have had some dizziness, or lightheadedness. But nothing really significant,as quickly as it comes on it goes. I suppose it is our body adjusting to something new in our system. I have only been on the drug 3 weeks, and so I am hoping in the months to come everything settles down. Keep us posted on how you are doing. Guest guest
I get dizzy. But I think it's mostly due to low potassium. I take a prescription potassium supplement due to low potassium. When I run out of the supplement, I get almost immediate and severe symptoms. One of them is the dizziness. It gets very bad. Almost as soon as I start taking the potassium again, it almost goes away, but not quite. Pam dizziness? I am wondering if others are dizzy. Has anyone received an actual diagnosis for their dizziness? This has been my biggest symptom for the past 5-6 years and I hate it. It is not a vertigo, but a feeling of imbalance and unsteadiness (maybe like being drunk?). I *think* that it is related to my blood sugar, because the dizziness gets better when I eat low carb, high protein. Thanks!
Guest guest
Very interesting about the potassium. When I was seeing a naturopath several years ago, he told me that I was lacking in potassium. Every book that I have read on Chronic Fatigue, however, tells me that potassium will only make my symptoms worse! Isn’t that crazy. I have a potassium supplement here at home that I may try. I *hate* the dizziness and am still looking for answers as to why I get this terrible symptom. Thanks! Guest guest
Dr. Devin Starynl covers this in her book. It is reactive hypoglycemia. It is where blood sugar test are normal, but we exhibit the signs and symptoms of low blood sugar. Following a diabetic diet as diabetics and those with hypoglymia follow should help with this. Guest guest
I have heard of the glucose tolerance test, but I've never asked for it. I'm bad about owning my treatment, I let the doctor tell me what to do. I have a history of diabetes on both sides of my family, both types 1 and 2. Guest guest
Hi Pam I was just diagnosed with 'pre-diabeties' - I developed neuropathy before the upswing in my glucose level. I went from a 'normal' test in April to a 108 fasting reading (it is supposed to be under 100) in November. You have prediabeties for up to 7 years before it ever shows up in your blood. By the time it shows up, your pancreas are already damaged. Even though I only had one reading over 100 (I have since gotten it down to 93) I will forever injure more easily (get cuts, etc) and I will forever heal slower than those without diabetes. I am hoping mine never gets to Type II or Type I so I am sticking to the low carb diet and doing everything I am told (I'm a sissy weenie when it comes to needles). to hopefully prevent that. So - I guess I'm saying is your could be onl your way to being prediabetic without having it show up in a blood test. Just keep a watch over it closely. hugs Pam Horne <pmarshall@...> wrote: I have heard of the glucose tolerance test, but I've never asked for it.
