I got a bit of a shock when I scanned the GF candy list and

found a note that Hershey’s Miniatures are no longer GF! I would

have given this a pass without looking it up because in the past only the ones

with rice crisps were off limits. So then I had to look up ALL the candy,

not just the ones I wasn’t sure about. Of course, I should have

done this in the first place, but golly, that’s a lot of work, even with

the list! Sigh. Just a funny note, we live up in the mountains and haven’t

had a trick-or-treater come unannounced to our door in 23 years, so I was

surprised to see a parent and child come up today. I had given up buying

candy after about the first 5 years with no trick-or-treaters (had to eat it

all myself). Thank goodness my son had gone out earlier. I was able

to raid his bag of all the obvious gluten candy to give to our first-ever

trick-or-treat kid! Have a Happy Halloween! Pam Just to save you the time, here are a few items whose

gluten-free status wasn’t on the list. Werther’s original candies are not gluten-free (except

for the sugarless flavors). Apparently the glucose syrup contains

wheat. My son got a Werther’s individually packed that looked

exactly like the sugarless ones we have been eating for a while. I almost
