Look to your source. This article is coming from an organization that promotes

a vegan lifestyle for everyone. The author's argument that the Blood Type diet

pigeonholes people by blood type, limiting their food choices, is refuted by his

own argument that being a vegan is good and suitable for everyone. He states

that people raised on an omnivorous diet from birth just need to ease into a

vegan lifestyle more slowly, and wean themselves off meat. He makes no mention

of the fact that vegans slowly starve themselves of Vit. B12, which has NO plant

based source. This alone is argument enough for me against a totally vegan

diet.

NO natural human culture in the world is vegan. Even Hindus eat dairy products.

I have no problem with individuals who want to be vegan. To get between a fool

and his folly is just, well...folly. My problem is that people who embrace this

choice seem to aquire an often missionary zeal, and want to convert the whole

world to their own (poor) choice of diet. They think making everyone a vegan

will save the planet.

You'll never see them mention anything about population control. It's too

anti-PC. Truth is, the population needs to be reduced through rigorous birth

control methods. THAT is the way to save the planet in the long run. There are

just too many of us. The best thing most people can do for the planet is to not

reproduce.

Sorry if I've run on, but the one thing that really ticks me off is people who

turn food into a political agenda. I thank my atheist god that I am so old that

I probably won't live to see the day when the Earth has 15 billion vegans on it,

standing toe to toe and farting out all that methane (a greenhouse gas, BTW)

from the indigestible, fibrous crap that they eat.

OMG, Lori!

I just now saw this & this is one of

the best posts I have ever read!

I couldn’t agree more. And with

a son who’s an Aspie & has done far better since going GF, I couldn’t

agree more. We’re also fairly sure I’m an Aspie too, but that

is beside the point.

I tried a vegan diet (even tried “easing”

into it). The only difference it made for me was I got sicker &

sicker SLOWLY instead of all at once…

No diet is right for everyone.
