Guest guest Posted August 31, 2009 Report Share Posted August 31, 2009 I just found, in an ingredient list of a salad dressing, " yeast extract (from wheat) " . I was under the impression that yeast extract was gluten free. As I was looking for more info on the internet, I came across a listing that said yeast extracts contain barley. Now I'm confused. We had a gluten reaction a few days ago, and the only new food we could think of was some potato chips, and they contained yeast extract. I'm not blaming the chips yet, but am looking for more info.
