Guest guest
If you don’t mind a short drive to Milpitas, Minh’s Vietnamese restaurant is worth the drive from Fremont (it’s at 680 and Landess; right off the freeway). When Ken was working in that area, we used to go there whenever we were in the area. Since he has been working at home, we haven’t been there in a long while, so be sure to ask about ingredients and cooking practices. We loved all the pots (where you get a pot with a little sterno heater and cook the soup right at your table). What really makes it worth the drive are the deep fried spring rolls that you could dip in the sweet/vinegar sauce and wrap with the most fabulous greens you have ever seen. These were GF the last time we went (no contaminated oil, wrapped in rice paper, no soy sauce), but that was a while ago. Makes me miss going there just thinking about it. If you search online, you get a confusing web site that I’m not sure is the same place, so ignore that and go to the Yelp review: http://www.yelp.com/biz/minhs-vietnamese-restaurant-milpitas Minh’s Vietnamese Restaurant 1422 Dempsey Rd Milpitas, CA 95035 (408) 956-1000 Pam
