Didn't Glazer say something about the possibility of further surgery?

But I think you mean that it can't be fixed non-surgically.

Well, why shouldn't you give up? What does he expect, that you can

straighten your own fused spine? I'll hold my thoughts at this point

-- shouldn't say what I'm thinking!

But if it would make YOU feel better to wear a lift, maybe that would

help.

Yeah, THE POOL! How about it? I'm doing well to get there once a week

these days, and can use the incentive of meeting your smiling face!

PS: You've got mail. I'm game for a get-together. How about the rest

of you New England folks? Val, you didn't mean to exclude any NE gents

who may be lurking, did ya?

HI Sharon,

THE POOL :) I keep sending them money but I never seem to get there.

Yes, I can bend quite well if only I could hold myself erect. Hunny

says that once Glazer said the tilt could not be fixed, I gave up.

I don't know if that is true but I feel like I am always struggling

with it. I wonder if it will ever pass? VC ( C)

Hi, .

I get it. Well, I hope the lift works out for you. The way I see the

tilt thing is that fighting it for cosmetic purposes may only serve to

exacerbate the body mechanics problems we already face as folks with

scoliosis. I've never tried a lift, but I guess they help some

people. My father used to wear one and it seemed to make his pain

worse, but that was pre-fusion.

Hi Sharon,

I'll clarify, Glazer states the tilt to the left as it was fused that

way originally and he won't mess with it. The forward tilt, he can

fix with another osteotomy. I am not up for another surgery unless

need be for another reason. I see a lift in my near future. At least

the neuropathy has cleared up considerably. VC ( C)
