Hi All:

Just to let you know that I saw my GI today and they have decided to go forward

with the transplant at this time. I started my evaluation today (as some of you

know it's a long, tedious process). It's going before the Transplant Committee

on Thursday 9-16 and I should be listed by next week. My GI indicated that I

would not get the transplant by the end of this year .. but most definitely

would have it by next year. Another medication was added today .. Fosmax .. and

I know alot has been posted recently about this drug (although I kinda bypassed

these postings). Any input as to how others dealt with the side effects would

be appreciated. And another interesting note. I was informing my GI of the URQ

and ULQ pain that I have been experiencing, as well as the pain in my hips,

legs, etc. He indicated that it was not surrounding tissue or muscle pain that

was causing the pain .. but was bone loss due to 14 years of being on Prednisone

... hence the Fosamax. I would post more about how I am truly feeling about this

... how overwhelming it is .. but I'm really too tired to type any more. I'm

sure all of you can relate.

Health and happiness to everyone.
