Guest guest
The food deductions are added to your other deductible medical expenses; if your food and medical expenses together equal more than 7.5% of your adjusted gross income, you have met the qualification for taking this deduction. So if you have particularly high medical expenses, it may very well be in your best interest to do the food calculations. -----Original Message----- From: Lillyth Denaghy Keogh-Quillan <lillythdenaghykeogh@...> Sent: Sat, Sep 19, 2009 2:07 pm Subject: RE: [ ] Celiac Tax Deduction It is rare, BTW for anyone to actually spend over 7% of their income on solely GF items. In short, probably not worth it – I know a number of other people have looked into this option and ended up not doing it because of that. =0 A Change settings via the Web ( ID required) Change settings via email: Switch delivery to Daily Digest | Switch format to Traditional Visit Your Group | Terms of Use | Unsubscribe /a> Recent Activity 3 New Members Visit Your Group Celebrity Parents Spotlight on Kids Hollywood families share stories Cat Owners Group Join a community for cat lovers Mental Health Zone Schizophrenia groups Find support .. Guest guest
Wow, this sounds EXTREMELY expensive....7.5% (with all the details of the email included). I doubt I spend that much. But, would GF flours and baking goods count, too? I suppose this can't include needing to do away with diary and carbs as part of the diet in exchange for fruit, veggies, and a high protein diet (other foods than pre-made GF foods)? And, if my only medical expensis are that of the co-payment, I guess this wouldn't work for tax purposes, huh? Guest guest
Yes. This isn't a cd specific deduction; particular cd expenses simply fall under the larger umbrella of medical expenses. -----Original Message----- From: Lillyth Denaghy Keogh-Quillan <lillythdenaghykeogh@...> Sent: Sun, Sep 20, 2009 1:12 am Subject: RE: [ ] Celiac Tax Deduction- one more thing Is that even if the medical expenses are not CD related?
