TVP is made from soy flour and I think most brands are gluten-free. I know for

sure that Bob's Red Mill TVP is GF, I use that regularly and haven't had any

problems.

i think TVP can be made from wheat and other grains also -- we've gotten from TSP in the past (soy only). If it doesn't tell you what the " V " is specifically, I'd be weary.

TVP is typically gluten free but there is something further to consider. The soy

used in those products (and most soy products in the US) is all genetically

modified. If you really love soy products or feel you need to include it in your

diet as a protein source, the best ones are tempeh (fermented soy) and organic

tofu. It's really easy to get into the mode of having too much soy... TVP, tofu,

soy milk, soy yogurt, soy ice cream. Remember, to maintain a varied diet rich in

veggies and grains too.
