Guest guest
Recently, I ordered a few EZ Gluten home tests. Despite extreme caution on my part, my IGG/IGA blood tests still detect gluten antibodies (I've been gluten-free for nearly 4 months now), so I wanted to test a few things that I eat/swallow on a daily basis. One of the things I tested was the only medication I take on a daily basis. When I was first diagnosed with CD, I called the manufacturer, who informed me the product was GF. (However, the Clan database has this statement from the manufacturer: No gluten is added to this product but company cannot guarantee the absence of trace amounts in the raw materials). The EZ Gluten test came back positive - twice. I'm wondering what my next step should be? Should I perhaps have a sample sent to a lab to verify? Anyone have any lab suggestions? I'm not sure how seriously to take the results of a home test, but obviously this is an unsettling development.
