Guest guest
I used to have this problem many years ago. I thought I was awkward and clumsy. It turned out I had severe thyroid deficiency and was anemic. They were actually mini-blackouts in which I lost consciousnous just long enough to lose my balance. Also, inner ear problems can cause this. Please share this info with your physician. Of course, no one calls me Grace to this day. I stepped in a sink hole December 24; broke a bit of ankle bone, tore ligaments, sprained wrists and tore my shoulder rotator cuff. Well on the way to recovery. Ankle healed, out of wheel chair and physical therapy for shoulder in progress. So, don't subject yourself to more injury than necessary. Guest guest
Hi all, I just wondered when and where would be the first time I fell. Yesterday being the good girl that I am, decided to take a lunch break walk. There was uneven tar, I made it over with the first foot and caught my other in the crack, over I went. I stayed for a minute assessing the situation and a UPS guy helped me up. Besides a few nasty cuts, I am fine though I am very sore. I suppose now that it has happened I shouldn't fear it so much....awww who am I kidding? I'll never again be over the fear of falling and doing real damage. So, I thank God it was a minor fall and nothing terrible. Thanks,
Guest guest
Dear , that first fall sure is scary, and even the second, I'm sure glad you came through it fine spine wise, and the scrapes will heal. I've done it twice and both of them were scary. Kumar and O'Brien did tell me you are far more likely to do something bad in a car accident than falling. Hope you aren't too sore! Guest guest
Hi and , Thanks for your concern. I indulged myself this rainy weekend and lounged on the couch. I feel much better today. I am two years post surgery and still healing. Guest guest
Hi , Sorry you fell, but glad you didn't do any real damage. Whew. I've fallen twice since my revision surgery. One fall resulted in a fractured shoulder and the other gave me a concussion which lead to a two year battle with vertigo. But my back was fine! The docs that cared for me after both falls noted that I did not put out my hands to break my fall. They said I fell the way I did to protect my back and I am sure they're right. Guest guest
Bonnie, Interesting the guy that helped me up accused me of trying to protect my cell phone because it was in my hand. I said, are you kidding, I was trying to protect my face. I hit my knees first, I guess to take the impact out of my back. It stunk and I think the cut on my hand is infected. Oh, geez. > > Hi , > > Sorry you fell, but glad you didn't do any real damage. Whew. > > I've fallen twice since my revision surgery.
