Guest guest
Well, I did it. I ate at Burger King for the first time in 8 years. I ordered their grilled chicken breast without the bun (brought my own). The chicken breast was huge and it came with lettuce and tomato with a little packet of mayo. I verified with the manager that the FF were in a dedicated fryer. The meal was very enjoyable with no side effects. I still had over half the chicken breast left, so I brought it home for a later meal. I melted mozzarella cheese on the leftover chicken and then cut it and dipped it in jalapeno ranch dressing (Lite House jar salad dressing). It was so darn good! My daughter ordered the chicken breast without the bun at Burger King and then cut it into bites and dipped them into some of the many g-f dipping sauces they now have. I talked with , the owner at zPizza in Mt. View. zPizza is changing to a new g-f pizza crust. Thank goodness. The one they switched to a few months ago was awful tasting (to me, anyway). I go to Pizza Party in Santa Clara (off Lawrence Expressway) a couple times a month now. Their g-f pizza is priced reasonably, is delicious, and my husband loves their regular pizza. I think someone emailed the group about not having a dedicated pan they put the g-f crust on. They do wash their pans thoroughly, but there is always a possibility of cross-contact because the g-f pizzas are baked in the same oven as regular pizza, so we take a chance no matter what. To me, this is the best g-f pizza out there right now (Willow Street g-f pizza is a pretty close second). The usual disclaimer. Everyone needs to decide for themselves to what lengths they feel comfortable eating out in restaurants. Eating out is risky. Sue
