Guest guest
With all the talk about this cafe lately, I stopped in for lunch today...Here are my findings...First, the décor is nice, clean, and simple. It's a small café, but it got *busy* between 12-12:30pm. Probably best to go between 11-11:30am to get a table inside. They also have a few tables outside, in front. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable about their products, both vegan and gluten-free.The food I ordered came quickly, and was hot-hot-hot.They have a Take Out refrigerator near the register with some of their items, if you want to grab and go. But it's mainly sandwiches, pre-made salads, and desserts in there.Food prices weren't too bad, but I did think the smoothies were pricey. I thought I saw that they were $6.50 (twice, what you'd pay at Jamba Juice across the street). However, I did make the mistake of ordering an entrée, an appetizer, AND a dessert...way too much food. Portions are big. Lunch could have *easily* been the appetizer with the dessert. My lunch cost $25, without a drink. But, if you shared something or just ordered the entrée, it wouldn't cost too much.I ordered the Shitake Mushroom Spring Rolls (a meal in itself) with peanut sauce and the Green Curry bowl (rice, veggies, with curry sauce): all delicious. I also ordered their Black Raspberry and Cashew raw foods dessert...it was heavenly. It has a light cheesecake-like texture, but enough for two!I'd easily go back! No reaction so far, other than being *way* too full! Worth having some coffee with dessert. ;)If all gluten-free food tasted this good, I'd be in eternal bliss 24/7, and would never complain about my diet or food selections ever again.
