Both Rainbow and Whole Foods, in SF, have them on sale right now. I think they

are $3.29 at Rainbow and slightly more at WF.

They are fine--they taste just like the regular glutinous ice cream cones,

crunchy without much flavor.

My daughters loved making s'mores with them this summer--adding chunks of

chocolate and melted marshmallows. :)

Some people are raving about these ice cream cones on another celiac site, and I

wonder if anyone here has tried them, and if they are available locally.

I haven’t tried them, but I saw them on sale at the New Leaf on

41st in Capitola. I purchased them to make smores for camping last

weekend (a tip I learned on this forum…thanks again whoever you were), but low

and behold, I forgot to bring them, doh! I don’t buy ice cream/yogurt, so im

tempted to bring one into a frozen yogurt place so I can have the “cone

experience” once again.

I buy these at Whole Foods in Redwood City. I keep a box in my car so my 4 year old daughter can have ice cream on a cone like her friends/cousins if we stop for an unplanned ice cream trip. They're good.

On another note, I got glutenfreeda's weekly newsletter and these cones were reviewed:

I'm going to order some because I really like sugar cones :)

Bought some at Whole Foods in Cupertino this morning.  My kids love them.  I think they taste just like regular ice cream cones (though, admittedly, it has been awhile since I've had a regular ice cream cone...)-

Thanks for the note on the sugar cones. We had those at celiac camp and they

were delicious. I'm so excited to know where to find them.

They carry them at Mariposa, too.BTW, the link that was originally posted was to Organic cones -- I don't think those are gluten free. The same brand ( " Let's Do ... " ) also has the gluten-free cones, though -- but be sure to get the gluten-free ones!
