Getting back to an earlier thread about chocolate…

Sadly, I did another check on the ingredients on the Dove

chocolates, and they do contain milkfat; don’t know how I missed it, but

I guess I am not as tuned in to dairy ingredients as I am with gluten.

For those who are looking for gluten- sugar- nut- and

dairy-free chocolate treats, here are a few things I found:

http://ycchocolate.com/darkchocolatebar.html

GF, Dairy free, peanut free; sweetened with maltitol.

Several products w/o nuts, but I think they have almonds in the factory.

http://nanascookiecompany.com/product.asp?productid=425969

Fruit-juice sweetened cookies and bars; GF, dairy free, don’t

see nuts in the ingredients.

http://www.plamilfoods.co.uk/products/

Xylitol sweetened chocolate (nut and dairy free)

They even have a Rice milk chocolate bar.  The catch:

they are in the UK; I couldn’t easily find a US supplier, but you could

probably get them to ship to you.

Another option is to consider making your own chocolate

using baker’s chocolate.  You can find information on doing this on

the web.
