Guest guest
Hi Kam... It's Great to hear from you!! I have thought of you so much lately, my entire family and I have been supporting you in thought and prayer. We have also really enjoyed reading all the updates!! (thank you).. I'm sure you are relieved that the car and mattress are still working for you so well.. Happy New Year!! I was also nervous about my bed since the one in the apartment was so comfortable pre-op and so bad post-op.Well, my brother drove our car to the airport, followed by the minivan with all of our St. Louis stuff in it, and I chose our Subaru Forester for the ride from the airport to our house (it's about 25 miles). The Forester is still WONDERFUL! Because the frame is just four inches taller than a car, it is really easy to get situated and the seats are tall enough inside that my legs felt more like they were in chair than a bucket. I am glad we don't live further away, but the ride was way better than the Dodge. Such a relief! So, then my brother and his girlfriend went to pick up some lunch for us and I was told I should go lay down - guess I looked a little worn out from the excursion. So, they took off, we put clean sheets on the bed, and I crawled in. I was out in no time when I woke up, I didn't feel the slightest bit stiff (sleeping in one position for too long in the hospital caused me pain from stiffness). I LOVE MY BED! We are going to get a foundation to put under it so it won't be so close to the ground, but it still sleeps perfectly. Such a relief!Happy New Year!kam for Good - Make a difference this year. Guest guest
Thank you, Ken. Happy New Year to you and yours! Six is my favorite number, so having my sixth back surgery in the beginning of 2006 is bound to make this one of my best years yet! There is no doubt in my mind that the hundreds of people lifting me up in prayer have made my surgeries and recovery far greater than anyone could ever imagine, guess, or request. I am truly blessed and all the credit goes to our amazing Creator. Please report to your family my gratitude and let them know that it's working!kamP.S. You got me thinking that a Forester wouldn't work real well for a family of more than four. I am curious to test drive Subaru's newest SUV/minivan looking thing. I wonder how many it seats and how it compares to the Forester and Outback. If anyone knows, I'd be interested in a critique. I know not everyone in the world will ever own a Subaru, but those that do tend to love 'em. ...and no, i do not get any kind of compensation whatsoever for my comments about subarus. i've just never loved an automobile so much in my life! >> Hi Kam... > > It's Great to hear from you!!
