Meeting with Drayton and & 8 mo checkup

Hello Everyone,

I have to tell you what a great time Dan and I had when we met and Bill

and

yesterday for lunch! It was like meeting people you have known your

whole

life....it was just wonderful. We sat and talked for 4 hours and I know we

could have spent

a lot more time together. They told me that it made them feel so good to see me

walk

into the restaurant tall and straight and looking healthy. It was wonderful to

be able to

give encouragement to them. Then, when we were going for my check-up with Dr.

Bridwell this morning, we saw and Bill, again. We caught up with them

after her

central line was put in, and Dan took Bill over to and showed him where

he would

wait, etc. We had coffee and tea before we took off for Springfield. is

so ready to

get on the other side of this....she will have the posterior surgery tomorrow

and anterior

on Thurs. I will post pictures that we took soon. Bill is a wonderful

husband....like Dan is,

and I know she will have the best care......with Dr. Bridwell, how can you go

wrong?! I am

so thankful that got us all together.....she is just awesome.

Someday, she will

be ready for her revision, but it will be when she is ready....we've all been

there.

My 8 month check up with Dr. Bridwell went great. He said that everything looks

good,

and I can come back in 6 months next time. He had me talk with Janet, the

physical

therapist, and she gave me some more exercises I can do. Still no bending, etc,

but they

did give me more of a variety of things I can do. My reacher is still going to

be my best

friend!!

I have to say, once again, how thankful I am for this site and for bringing us

together.
