Based on a recommendation from this website some time ago, I have been visiting

Janta at 396 Lytton Ave, Palo Alto. It is not inexpensive; however, the food is

excellent, and the restaurant has tight control over what is in their food.

They are probably tired of me asking them each time I go in; however, I tell

them I can't have " all purpose flour " , Suji or Ravi (latter two are semolina).

They are very good about telling me what I can eat or not. I also suggest that

you eat nothing fried because they deep fry the vegetarian samosas (made with

flour).

I've never had a problem in this restaurant, recognizing that there is always a

chance when you eat out.

Lunch has a great buffet.

I am certain that there are other good and reasonably safe restaurants in

addition to Janta.

Good luck,

Vic-Sunnyvale
