Guest guest
I respectfully agree. I realize that Dr. sen only means to be helpful, however I agree that this list was meant to be for those who have celiac (or kids and spouses with celiac) to share our experiences. If doctors begin joining the list, this could shut down our discussions about our experiences with doctors, which have been very useful discussions. It would change the tone and format of this list. I welcome it when doctors and clinics have web pages, blogs or other forums of their own upon which we can search for advice when we are looking for it, and I feel that those are the more appropriate ways for those communications to occur. We are like sitting ducks for a health practitioner to jump in and give us her/his advice. I'm not on this listserv to get advice from health practitioner. I have my own physician for that. I'm on this listserv to get advice from a community of people who are living with the same restrictions as I. I think this listserv should be limited only to those who have celiac or are gluten free for health reasons. I would be happy to see information from a health practitioner placed by the moderator of this group. We are a multidisciplinary medical center consisting of a medical director who is an M.D. specializing in Internal Medicine, a P.A., a doctor of Naturopathy, two clinical nutritionists, a doctor of Physical Therapy and two doctors of Chiropractic. The clinic has been in Sunnyvale for about 18 years and we specialize in getting to the underlying root cause of conditions rather than simply treating the symptom. While of course being able to diagnose the standard medical conditions and work with specialists as the case necessitates, we also use natural treatments whenever possible and see excellent success as regards patient outcome.
