Guest guest
Thought some would like to know that SadieDay's Play Cafe (former Tumble & Tea) in Temescal (Berkeley/Oakland boarder on Telegraph) does carry some gluten-free items like Mariposa's brownies, and occasionally some gluten-free bread. If you had kids, this can be a very helpful solution to play/eat time.BUT! They don't always have the bread, and you'll need to work with the staff regarding cross contamination, etc. They're willing to try and work with people who have CD, but obviously it's not their primary business concern. The owner is *super* nice and *very* helpful.I haven't tried bringing my own GF products, but the owner said she'd be willing to work with us, so feel free to try. Also, SadieDay's Play Cafe is only a few blocks away from Mariposa bakery, so stopping into Mariposa before coming can be a good idea.If anyone in this area has kids, and would like to join up with me and my daughter, Izabel, for a play session at SadieDay's, please feel free to contact me and perhaps we could hook up.
