Guest guest
I have tried triphalia in the past, but it didn't have any affect on my. Maybe it was the wrong brand. Can you recommend a good one? I take " several " natural things before I can even have a small bowel movement. It get worse by the day. What works one week, will stop working the next. Wondering if anyone else has that problem? I seem to have no peristalsis. The stool is soft, but I never have the urge. Had several tests and were all normal. Guest guest
Hi Deb, How's your stress? Stress can play a big factor in preventing normal bowel movements. Also, rushing away from the table and getting busy before you've given your body a chance to process what it's just ingested can prevent good bowel movements. I don't know what " natural " things you are taking, but sometimes folks use psyllium and that actually can bind them up even further. Taking two tbsp. of freshly ground golden flax in a glass of water in the morning can sometimes help. Since your stools are loose, it could be that you just don't have enough bulk in them to produce the pressure necessary to get the peristalsis going. Your problem could also could be related to poor bacterial balance. You might think about eating some naturally fermented foods like natural yogurt, kefir, rejuvelac, sauerkraut, or other fermented vegetables to help aid your body towards better bacterial balance. One thing to note, though, vinegar is not used in naturally fermented sauerkraut or other fermented veggies. You might have to do some shopping to find some without the vinegar. If you can't find them in a health food store, I suggest getting a copy of Sally Fallon's cookbook " Nourishing Traditions " and making your own. Cheers, Robin triphalia I have tried triphalia in the past, but it didn't have any affect on my. Maybe it was the wrong brand. Can you recommend a good one?
