Guest guest
Hi, I've been away from this board for quite a while. I am now 7+ months post-op after revision surgery with Dr. Rand. I've been back at work since about month 3 (first part-time then full-time). My three month check up went well and everything seems to be in place. I have three questions that I'm hoping folks who have been through this can help me out with: 1-I still have a lot of pain. At times it feels worse then it did two months ago. This weekend I felt a jabbing pain on my lower left side that was horrible...seems a little better today. Is it common for the pain to get worse even this far out? I feel like I still have a few bad days each week and sometimes feel hopeless. I try to be patient and remind myself that it takes a long time to heal but I get so down with all this pain. 2-Does anyone else get more pain when they are very cold and shivering? I'm not sure if it's because the muscles in your back tighten? It's awful. I was wondering if it had something to do with all the metal in my back. 3-Any advice on shoe brands that are comfortable and still somewhat stylish? I need to look very professional for clients at work and am finding it hard to find shoes that look good and don't kill my back. Thanks for the help. I wish everyone well.
