gluten free at Target

I was wandering around Target complaining to myself that they are

sparse on anything organic and gluten free - then I

stumbled upon a whole gluten free shelf in the grocery section in the

far corner of the store. Even a couple products I had never seen before

(cooked pasta with sauce in single serving bags for kids). Annie's mac and

cheese for $1.57, some cereal and granola, tinkyana pasta,  glutino

pretzels and breakfast bars, and more!

This was the new-ish Target in Albany.

I am loving Target these days - Vic posted about the new Sunnyvale store

awhile back and now it's one of my main places for groceries. In

addition to having some good GF stuff that I usually have to buy at

whole foods (in addition to the stuff listed below, they also have

glutino cookies and kinnickinick breads) I find some of their normal

groceries are way cheaper than Safeway. The GF stuff is on par with

Whole Foods pricing but it's much more convenient not having to go to WF

so much. Examples:

32 oz Dannon vanilla yogurt: $3.69 safeway, $2.09 target

classico pasta sauces: $3.50 safeway, $2.25 (on sale right now for

$1.82) target

At the Sunnyvale Target, the GF stuff is mixed right in with everything

else- no special GF section which is fine with me :-).
