Guest guest
Have you thought about taking the Triumph cards with you (does Triumph have cards for Indian restaurants)? There is also an app for the iPhone that translates all the GL info into a gadzillion languages. I have not tried it since going GF but I've heard Saravana Bhavan (Vegetarian Indian) does have GF options but I've avoided going there so far because I've found the servers have very little English so I've been worried that something would get lost in the translation. I'm planning to go with some of my Indian co-workers who said they'll make sure the server understands my restrictions so I can eat safely - can't wait! My co-workers believe they make traditional dosas which should be safe and I used to love their dosas before going GF. Country Gourmet is across the street (both are basically at the corner of Fremont/) and I have been there once since going GF - when ordering, tell the person at the counter you cannot have gluten- I recall they had a binder which listed ingredients and they will also talk to the chef if necessary. If you're able to drive up to El Camino (a little over 1 mile north), there is a Fresh Choice at El Camino and Grape (Grape is in between and Bernardo) and Kabul (Afghani) is at El Camino and Hollenbeck/Pastoria - between and Mathilda/Sunnyvale- Saratoga - my favorite- we usually split an order of chicken kebabs w/ no bread plus sides of their spinach and pumpkin dishes. Also, PF Changs is at El Camino and Mathilda/Sunnyvale- Saratoga.
