Guest guest
The Kaiser Permanente GI who diagnosed my CD routinely does a second biopsy six months after one goes completely GF. He does this to confirm the diagnosis and to see how well healing is progressing. I had a third one later, when I was having unexplained GI difficulties. When I left Kaiser and went to UCSF, the new hepatology and GI department required another endoscopy. I don't know if this is done with all "transfer" patients, or if it was done just in my case. As far as I know, in seven years I've had only one blood test for CD. It's possible I've not noticed some CD-related thrown in with others, however. Is that considered standard practice? Thanks, Sharon Wood
