Guest guest
Hi Janet, Yeah, I probably got a double whammy of that " no pain " gene! DrRand said that he has a collegue that is testing some patients prior to surgery to detrmine their pain profile. It will be wonderful if this leads to better pain management won't it? Take Care, Cam
Guest guest
Ok, let me preface this by saying that pain control in humans is a very important area of medicine, and I speak as one who is, like everyone in the group, very pain experienced. By performing pain research on animals, researchers acknowledge that their pain mechanisms are very similar to ours. How then is it ethical to do pain research on them? Sharon cammaltby wrote: Its a fairly easy read...and very interesting. Validates the wide range of how people feel pain. You would think that the mainstream doctors would already know this.... http://focus.hms.harvard.edu/2006/102706/molecular_genetics.shtml
