Guest guest
Hi , As moderator for the Celiac Bay Area list, I wanted to touch base with you regarding your posts for Gluten-Free Works. I am sensitive to the requests of many of our list members who prefer not to get posts that are purely commercial. As I mentioned in my recent post, we compromise between people who want local commercial information and those who don’t want any at all. Our compromise is that we accept limited commercial information as long as it meets certain conditions. First, it must be local to Central California, second, it should announce something new (a new business, an upcoming event, or a new product), and third, it should be infrequent (no more than about once a month). The only other time a post about a commercial product is acceptable is when it is in direct response to a request for a specific product. I’ve noticed that in the last few months you have posted several times promoting products from Gluten Free Works. Some of them have mentioned products you have tried and liked, but others, such as the one below, don’t have any local relevance or personal connection. The post on the 16th about St. ’s day also had little local relevance (baring the one reference to “where I can buy GF food in SF”; I did read the article, but did not find it particularly informative about GF food in SF). I am requesting that you limit any posts referencing products from Gluten-Free Works to once a month, and then only if you have a personal review or if regards something of interest to celiacs in central California. Of course, your personal posts are always welcome on the list; I am just asking you to limit posts promoting Gluten-Free Works. I appreciate your cooperation in helping to keep our list as focused and non-commercial as possible. If you have any questions or need clarification, let me know.
