Dear Cara Starting this week, you'll notice some changes to our menus - we are now offering gluten- and dairy-free alternatives for those family that prefer to eliminate these common allergens from their diet. (See side bars below for more information.) For those of you who don't have these restrictions, we will continue to provide the same food and services that we have been. Everyone enjoys good food. But who has the time to prepare healthy delicious meals every night of the week ? We can help. Our made fresh from scratch meals are as tasty as home-made and reheat wonderfully so you have dinner in minutes. We offer a variety of healthy options to please a host of dietary needs. We use only the freshest seasonal fruits & vegetables available; whole grains, lean proteins and healthy oils - all prepared in our commercial certified kitchen - give us a try and see a change in your eating habits, as well as a change in your schedule - you'll be surprised how easy it is to get delicious healthy meals on your table fast. Want something special - just ask - we'll do our best to help you out. Good Eating! Menu Highlights for the week of March 22.... SALADS & SOUPS Spinach Salad - baby organic spinach is loaded with raw snap peas, diced carrots, crunchy almonds and a toasted mustard seed vinaigrette. Lentil Salad - french green lentils are simmered, then tossed with a meyer lemon tahini dressing - we add in pumpkin seeds, diced red peppers, jicima, oranges fresh herbs. Tomato & Wild Mushroom Soup - a roasted tomato puree with sauteed wild mushrooms - a herb based pistou of garlic, basil and olive oils is drizzled in at the end for a boost of fresh garden flavor. ENTREES Pork & Wild Mushroom Ragu - three kinds of pork come together with cremini & porcini mushrooms, tomatoes, herbs and veggies to form a rich, luscious pasta sauce - we'll serve it over your choice of a traditional penne or gluten free pasta. Veggie Tofu Enchiladas - leeks, broccoli, chard, spinach, sweet potatoes and tofu come together within corn tortillas slathered with a robust red enchilada sauce - re-fried beans on the side - cheese optional. Polenta Lasagna - corn polenta is layered with seasoned ground turkey and veggies - topped with a smokey house made red pepper romesco sauce; ricotta cheese optional. SIDES & DESSERT Quinoa Pilaf - red and traditional quinoa are mixed together with diced peppers, baby peas, carrots, fresh herbs, toasted pumpkin seeds and a rice wine vinaigrette for a high protein lunch or dinner side alternative. Dark Chocolate Brownies - dark chocolate brownies are made with almond flour for a delicious gluten free alternative that rival the best ones around. How It Works Review this week's menu on our web site, make your choices, and return those by Thursday evening; cooking and delivery occur the following week - either Monday or Thursday as specified on the order form. No minimum orders required; you can start and stop service as needed and make your selections in either single or family sized (serves 2-3) to meet your family's appetite. More.... Gluten-Free While not a dedicated gluten-free cooking facility, we can guarantee that all GF meals are prepared on segregated GF only cookware with GF ingredients. All cookware, prep surfaces, utensils and other items are carefully handled so cross contamination is avoided. We do no gluten baking during our GF cooking processes. Dairy-Free If you choose our Dairy-Free option, we use alternative soy & rice products for any dairy requirements in our recipes. If a salad or other dish has cheese, we can simply leave it out of your order. Let us know if you can tolerate goat or sheep milk product. Peanut-Free We are a Peanut-Free facility - no peanuts, no peanut oil. We do use almonds, cashews, pecans, walnuts, pine nuts and hazelnuts. We'd be happy to leave nuts out of your order if possible.
