Guest guest
OK, I know that many of you will probably think I am crazy, but my 16 year old son is going to Spain on a school trip next April and they need another chaperone. Because he has a life-threatening medical condition, they would very much like for me to be the third chaperone that they need. I told them that I absolutely cannot afford to pay an additional $3300 dollars to go. The teacher just emailed to notify me that I will most likely be able to go for free! I have never been to Spain and view that as quite an opportunity. However, IF I go ahead with revision surgery in October after all, this poses a problem. I know that everyone heals differently, but for all of you folks who have gone through the surgery, in your own personal opinions, what are the chances that I will physically be able to do this? Between the long flight and the walking (although she did already tell me that I wouldn't be expected to chaperone ALL the " walking " day trips - I am concerned and am leary as to if this is even a REMOTE possibilty for me? Any advice?
