Guest guest
I finally have my hands on Bette Hagman's " Gluten Free Gourmet Bakes Bread " cookbook (thank you Sunnyvale library) and I want to try some recipes. Many call for " dough enhancer " (or vinegar) so I've been searching my local markets for it since I can't get it via Amazon Prime - but I can't find it anywhere. I've tried Whole Foods, Andronicos and Draegers. Has anyone found it locally? And is it worth using or should I just substitute the vinegar? If it's worth it I'll splurge and buy it online (and probably pay more in tax and shipping than what the product costs!) thanks, Jean

I have been baking the GFG breads for a long time, and I have always used vinegar (usually apple cider vinegar) instead of dough enhancer. The vinegar works out just fine! --Ruth Anne
