Guest guest
We had dinner at Aquis on Friday night. They have a gluten-free menu hung up on the wall along with the regular menu (the g-f menu is also on their website under " Food Facts " ). I had the potato and cheese enchilada dish with green rice and beans. Absolutely delicious. WARNING - they have listed on the menu chicken flautas and chicken tacquitos that are fried in oil. They were extremely busy, but the couple of people I spoke with could not confirm whether floured products were also fried in the same oil. I explained that they NEED to find this out ASAP, that they cannot possibly put these items on a g-f menu until they knew for sure. Also, it is pretty chaotic in the kitchen behind the counter. Cross-contact issues could be huge, especially if you order their soft tacos, etc. Just wanted to pass on this information. Usual disclaimer - eating out is risky. Guest guest
I and others have talked with the Aquis folks in the past. We just can't seem to get a guarantee from them of separate preparation areas or oils. Anybody else get another response lately?
