Guest guest
Is Dr. Vikki in san francisco? does she take Cigna health insurance? I have not been impressed with Dr. Aron. All he's done is advise another biopsy, take over a month to get results, overcharge me for it and then prescribe apriso and its $50/month with my insurance. I lasted 5 months without any noticeable difference before i decided to stop. All-in-all I still feel pretty crappy after 2 1/2 years gluten free, except for the first 6 months. I've given up sugar and most processed food (even gluten free processed food) and still struggle with low energy levels and digestive troubles. I also struggle with my weight. I've gained 20 pounds since going gluten free! I wish there was a pill or gruel that had all the nutrients a person needs so I could give up food. remember they had that on the movie The Matrix? i don't really like the protein bars out there because they have so much chemicals and preservatives (besides Lara Bars, but they're not really " protein " ) does anyone know of a good gluten free protein bar or drink that has minimal chemicals and preservatives? I've been re-reading many of the posts from the last few months and it looks like i should try L-glutamine & Vitamin D. i have a few questions: Is L-glutamine just for accidental glutenizing? or for daily use? I also didn't understand the difference between the different kinds of vitamin D and which is the one I should try. Is the Stanford celiac convention worth the $80 admission? Is it close to a cal train station? ok, sorry for the post full of questions. and thanks for letting me vent a bit /april > > Hi: I just listened to a great video on YouTube by Dr. Vikki sen
Guest guest
Hi April, Dr.Vicki is in Sunnyvale. I too had digestive problems even after stopping gluten. Alot of times people who are gluten intolerant also have an allergy to dairy products or casein. I do. I can't eat gluten, dairy ,eggs or anything with yeast. I take glutamine, vitamin D3 and omega three's. I also take digestive enzymes and betaine hydrochloride. L-glutamine helps your intestines rebuild and also helps with leaky gut. I haven't found any good bars either. Hope this helps, June > > > > Hi: I just listened to a great video on YouTube by Dr. Vikki sen >
