Guest guest
I’ve had the Conte’s pierogies as well and I concur…they are ridiculously awesome J From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Tercovich Sent: Thursday, April 08, 2010 2:50 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Conte's GF cheese raviolis and pierogies taste REAL! Thanks ! Haha - Now that we are having more of these options, I'll be gaining weight from eating pasta and pizza all the time! Great to hear! PS - I just came back from travelling to Denver and it was amazing every single place I went, they were aware of gluten and had no problem accomodating. I never had to explain myself at all. It really was amazing. Many breakfast spots, etc. Just incredibly much more knowledged about the disease than I have had experience with in the bay area. It made it a wonderful trip and I highly recommend trying the options out there when you get a chance. Cheers, On Thu, Apr 8, 2010 at 2:24 PM, Libonati <john.libonati@...> wrote: Wow. GF foods are getting better and better. I saw the Conte's pasta listing on the celiac ICORS listserv below and thought I'd try their cheese raviolis. I also picked up their pierogies and frozen cheese pizza. The frozen cheese pizza was good. The pierogies and raviolis are RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME! You wouldn't know they were gluten-free - seriously I'm smiling as I write this... Conte's has a list of nationwide retailers on their website. I checked with the company and they said Whole Foods carries them in California. http://bit.ly/contes_pastas -
Guest guest
I found them at Whole Foods (RC) and Draegers (MP). Draegers also carried another brand of ravioli - name escapes me right now, since my son prefers Conte.Wow. GF foods are getting better and better. Guest guest
Pam – I’m super sensitive and did not have a reaction. I’ve only gotten them once, b/c that Whole Foods is out of the way for me. Hope Merrick feels better! From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Pam Newbury Sent: Thursday, April 08, 2010 3:44 PM Subject: [ ] Conte's GF cheese raviolis and pierogies taste REAL! I picked up some from WF in SC, I am a bit nervous because they say processed in a facility that also uses wheat. Sounds like many people have tried them with no reaction. Have any very sensitive celiacs out there tried these? Has anyone had a problem with them? I was feeling brave when I picked them up, but now Merrick is sick (glutened again from eating out) and I don’t feel like taking a risk. I saw the Gnocci and Ravioli, but didn’t see pierogies. Guest guest
Boulder is wonderful, too. I believe the great Udie's bread at Whole Foods comes from Udie's Bakery and Cafe in Denver. I'd go back to Boulder just for the food . . . Guest guest
Pam, I am super-sensitive and have not (yet) had a reaction to the Conte's spinach and cheese ravioli. I know what you mean! I was really nervous too before eating it. I've had it now several times.
