Aqui's Cal Mex Restaurant - reply

I had emailed Aqui's regarding removing the chicken taquitos and chicken flautas

from their g-f menu because of the cross-contact issues with the fryer. I don't

think I have ever heard of a " light intolerance to gluten " before - either with

gluten intolerance or celiac disease. Anyway, here is their reply:

" Yes, we are actually amending the card to note that the items are prepared in a

shared environment. We are choosing to leave the choices on the card as many

people have expressed only a light intolerance to gluten and we wish to allow

the customer to make the choice. Lastly, we are noting that none of the dishes

can be completely free of glutens in a shared environment. "
