Guest guest
I recently had to reduce my LDN to 1.5mg. I started at 3.0 in Feb this year, but over the last 2 or 3 months have become extremely stiff, had spasms in my back at night, and lost the improved mood LDN seemed to have given me. I'm doing better on 1.5. The stiffness is much reduced, and my mood is better. Perhaps you need to try 1.5 for a while, then go back to 3.0? I know that 1.5 is not recommended for the long haul, but maybe for a "break in" period? Guest guest
I'll try that after I've been comfortable long enough to start enjoying things again... Guest guest
, After my first three shots, I had several days of feeling horrible. I had flu-like symptoms, severe headaches, fatigue (couldn't get out of bed), terrible body aches. I desperately wanted to stick it out and didn't know if I could, because the symptoms were so debilitating and lasted several days each time. I talked to a nurse from Novafactor, one of the Xolair distributors, who handled most of the patient calls for that company. She told me that in the few people that had difficult side effects, they usually found that they decreased significantly over time, to the point where they either totally diminished or became tolerable. I found that to be true in my case. Actually, I stopped having any of those side effects after the third or fourth shot. I've had eight series of shots now (I'm on the highest dose, every two weeks) and the last several sets have been fine. Only you can decide if it's worth a try to continue a bit longer. Maybe you can set a number in your mind about how many times you'll try it. I had decided to really try to stick it out for at least eight or 10 shots to see if it changed, but luckily it got better well before that point. Best of luck with whatever you decide. Meryl Hi Yesterday was Xolair day. I got sick yesterday from it and am not feeling so good right now. I have a slight fever and chills. I also lost lunch and dinner. I am starting to think that this isnt worth it. I have read a few horror stories about the XOlair on another sight and I am so confused. I honestly am not sure what to do. I so desperately want it to work. And thus far it has made me ill all 4 times. I am so confused and I just dont know. I laid in bed and just cried lastnight. Did the same this morning. I just dont know. My father thinks that I never should of gone on it and that it was my decision. My mother thinks I should just stick it out. They said they'll support me. And I know it my descision but I am just so confused. Just at a loss for what to do. any thoughts or comments would be appreciated! Thank you

Guest guest
Hi Ed, I had some difficult side effects for the first several shots and most of them eventually passed. Can you say what kind of side effects your wife had? Mine were mainly very severe flu-like symptoms that lasted several days each time. Thanks, Meryl Hi: I'm new to the group. My wife was put on Xolair for her out of control asthma, but after four injections, she decided to stop the shots, as she developed some pretty nasty symptoms. We are trying to decide if they developed as a result of Xolair or if the timing was just coincidence. Hopefully, we can learn from those of you who have more experience with the drug. Thanks. Guest guest
Ed, Welcome to the group. We have had some users report side effects when starting, most of which have seemed to pass after a month or two. We did have one user with a fairly low IgE score and only mild asthma who tried Xolair and did have considerable difficulty with it and decided to stop. I did not experience any side effects that I associate to Xolair, but I did experience some considerable side effects from pred withdrawal, despite being careful about tapering down, etc. Also, now that I no longer need pred, I've noticed that I am starting to have early onset arthritis (it runs in my family) - I'm sure the aching and swelling in my right and foot would have shown up earlier except that I was taking all that pred. Guest guest
Thanks for getting back to us. My wife developed flu like symptoms as well, but she also had pretty severe muscle weakness and pain that made it hard for her to get around. Her allergist said that she had about 22 patients on the injections, and hadn't seen that side effect with any others, but advised my wife to stop the shots anyway, at least until more was known about Xolair. Kind of like offering to wave a magic wand and then finding out that the wand is broken! Ed

Guest guest
Hello : Sometime asthma has an acid reflux component that can irritate the bronchials. Perhaps you may want to consult with a Gastroenterologist. Also, you might consider posting what you have and the symptoms you felt before you decided to take Xolair. Some members of the group may beable then to provide other ideas to help you. Hang in there,.... XAVIER > Hi > > Yesterday was Xolair day. Guest guest
As I recall her doctor thought it would be worth a try. Seems like bad medicine to me, as Xolair has been recommended for moderate to severe allergic asthma that hasn't responded to the more traditional (and cheaper) therapies. Perhaps neither the doctor or the patient had received sufficient education about Xolair to make a wise choice, I don't know. Everyone has to do his/her own cost/benefit analysis in consulation with his/her physician. Both my pulmo and my family doc thought Xolair could be a miracle med for me. So far it has been! Guest guest
I know someone who (had) hep c- he called the Pegassist people, and was able to get meds for free- he has injected once a week and taken pills daily. The injections are full of benzene, so I have talked him into doing flushes (he plans on doing). As far as the hep goes, his viral count is less than 50 now, when it was in the millions. The hep c meds are very rough and made him feel ill, but he hung in there, quit drinking, pills, etc- but I still stress on the parasite cleansing and liver flushing after. I am glad they have assisstant programs, cause the hep meds cost over 4000$. There is never one stone. It is hundreds piled up together, and docs can't detect them. As far as wanting to take the gallbladder, read all the info online, there is alot and go with instinct. There are a lot of people who say they dont have their gallbladder, but still had stones when they did a flush. Guest guest
I have had a Pulmo-Aide nebulizer for 20 years and even travelled with it, until I needed a portable one I could carry when I flew anywhere. My portable one is Sunrise--a very good brand, but if I had it to do over again, I would go ahead and get one that was also battery powered, even though the batteries cost more than the machine itself. One night recently, we had a severe thunderstorm and the power was off in the middle of the night for about an hour--no fan, no a/c, but fortunately we could open a couple of windows without the rain blowing in and our bedroom stayed cool enough. But that was a scary time for me, and I realized that a battery powered neb would have been nice. Oh well--maybe after the xolair I won't need the nebulizer at all. I only use it periodically anyway. By the way, my insurance would pay for the machine, but not for the batteries or the replacements. My other suggestion is to find one that has a rechargeable battery and is also a " plug-in. Guest guest
That is great. Guess I didn't do my homework very well, though I haven't minded the little plug in one I got. It is easy to pack and I carry it with me just in case! I still may look at the Aeroneb since it is what I was trying to find to begin with, but none of the medical equipment comp. here mentioned it, nor did I find it listed anywhere. Guess I just didn't look hard enough or ask enough questions. Adah Grimes <rrgrimes_u3@...> wrote: I have an Aeroneb Go and LOVE it!!! Guest guest
I have found no matter what you do you still have those stones so you have to keep flushing---and taking a good digestive enzyme when you eat a big meal. I too have been biking, eating less meat, much more fruit/veggies and I had a tiny pain in the right side--typical of GB. Just a few weeks ago. Best thing to do when you get one of these in my opinion is to get some epsom salts in you right away. Take a good two tablespoons in some kind of juice so you can get it down. It will release debris in the duct if you have stones stuck in there. But this doesn't get you off--still have to do another flush. Once you do one you should be ok until you mess up again. Losing weight or gaining will also cause another attack. The key is to totally clean out the GB and to change your diet --you still need some fats/protein just make sure when you eat them always take that digestive enzyme!!! the body still needs them just not in large amounts--you need to use the GB but it's very hard for it to work when it's filled with stones--thus the attack. tina > > OK I haven't been on here in a while. Guest guest
What kind of digestive enzyme should I take? I am not currently taking one at all. Please let me know what works for you. I tried the Epsom salts last night, only 1 tablespoon though....and this one lasted 17 hours. Yikes! I cannot believe it lasted so long. Another problem I am having is I am not able to flush right now. I have been having some pretty bad hypoglycemic reactions when I go any length without food. So, I've been really nervous to try the cleanse. I can't fast right now - I mean I don't think it will work without fasting right? Or do you think there are some foods I could eat lightly just to have food in me? Or if I could drink orange juice that would help a great deal. Do you think I could drink orange juice during the fasting period after 2PM? Thanks!!!!!!! Losing weight or gaining will also cause another attack. The key is to totally clean out the GB and to change your diet --you still need some fats/protein just make sure when you eat them always take that digestive enzyme!!! the body still needs them just not in large amounts--you need to use the GB but it's very hard for it to work when it's filled with stones--thus the attack. tina
Guest guest
What you are suppose to do is a week before you do a flush just add more apple/pear juice to your diet--give up meat--more fruit and veggies. Even do some juicing--but there is no need to fast. Drink a lot more water--no dairy--think of cleaning out your body by changing your diet to one of more fruits/veggies/juice. a good Book-- " Juicing for life " good receipes. Day of fast you are allowed oatmeal--it's a good thing to eat I have found--or fruit till noon. At 5 I start the epsom salts---and you have to do more than one tablespoon. I add two big ones to cranberry juice or grapefruit (red is easier) Hold your nose and drink it down--you will need two of these to really clean yourself out--take another one in a hour or so (they say two hours) Around 9 you should be cleaned out-- get the Extra Virgin olive oil--one half a cup or more if you can do it---and add one half cup of red grapefruit--)(this is what I do) and sit up in bed and drink it down--hold your nose again. you will be hungry and this will help- They say to lay down on your side--I have to sit up for awhile so I can hold it all in me. then I lay down and go to sleep-- when you wake up you have too drink epsom salts all over again--- 2 tablespoons in juice and you should be going to the bathroom all over again. I hate at much as anyone--but I tell myself a hundred times it's better than surgery for me-- I have not had a fever--nor have I had huge attacks--and I have had cat scans done--so I know my stones-- It's been a year and I still have to watch diet--do flushes. takes a while but it's worth it--cleaner liver--happier GB!!!! and vital organ SAVED!!!! -- In gallstones , " Traci " <tracic@...> wrote: > > What kind of digestive enzyme should I take?
