Guest guest
Essential Fatty Acids, they are necessary fats for the liver and the bodies cellular structure. They are needed because the body cannot produce them itself. They are obtained by good oils such as; cold pressed virgin olive oil, flaxseed oil, hemp oil. They are also attained from fruits and vegetables but in much smaller amounts, excepting of course, avocadoes, which is very high in EFAs. They differ in that unlike the hydrogenated and saturated fats, they do a body good. Hydrogenated fats were once good EFAs that have been damaged by heat. Most common to this is the oils used for deep frying fast foods. For people that have liver or gallbladder problems these are to be avoided at all costs as they are instrumental in causing the formation of liver and gallstones. DaleDa_@... Re: What's EFA?
