Guest guest
Hi Everyone - I picked up my first order from Gourmet Dreams. My expectations were exceeded. I was pleasantly surprised that all of the entrees were freshly cooked today all with natural ingredients and that the portions are larger than what I had anticipated. The orders are all securely packaged in hearty plastic containers with very sturdy tops. The family size will easily feed myself, my husband and our two girls(who eat more than I do). Here is a brief summary of what I tried today(I had to run home and sample everything): Roasted Tomato & Wild Mushroom Soup: Fresh, hearty, tangy. The mushrooms add a nice flavor and texture. I personally would add a pinch of sugar to the recipe but it is delicious. Veggie Tofu Enchiladas with Corn Tortillas: All fresh ingredients; has spunk and spice. My younger daughter who loves spicy food will definitely gobble this down. Pork and Wild Mushroom Ragu with Penne: Very hearty portion; nice flavor for both adults and kids. Brownies: DEVINE!!! Out of this world! For Thursday I am ordering Polenta Lasagna w/Ground Turkey and Shrimp Scampi. Registration: Last week I sat down at my desk to register thinking it would be time consuming when in fact it was a breeze.....it took just ten minutes to complete the forms and fax to Janice(you can email, fax or call in an order). The one recommendation I have is Janice requires a $70 deposit for those paying with check or cash but does Not require this deposit for those who register with a credit card. I personally prefer to not have the extra $70 tied up for an unknown length of time. All orders are clearly labeled with heating instructions and a receipt is provided as well. For those interested for next week I believe Janice needs orders to be placed by this Thursday at 5pm. Guess What: I'm not cooking dinner for the next four nights for the first time in a year!! Take care, Cara http://www.gourmetdreams.com/ 1 of 1 File(s) winmail.dat
