Guest guest
I went to Steve’s Pizza twice last week while I was in Sacramento. I could not have been more delighted! I called ahead to inquire about their practices to see if I felt comfortable eating there. The guy who answered the phone outlined their entire procedure, and I was sufficiently impressed to “brave it”. (Side note for those of you not familiar with me – I am the proverbial canary in a coal mine – I am super, SUPER sensitive, and therefore am nearly always scared half to death anytime I try a new place). Anyway, I ate there with NO problem whatsoever, and even had the pleasure of meeting Steve. As in, THE Steve of “Steve’s Pizza”. I thanked him for providing the GF crusts, and told him how happy I was to be eating my very first pizza out in YEARS! I also expressed how happy I was to be afforded the option of a PERSONAL size pizza. They are using a new crust (can’t recall the name, but I think it starts with a V). I came back a few days later, and, to my surprise, though I wanted to order a medium pizza, I couldn’t because they had run out of crusts. So I ordered two personal ones instead. The funny thing is that while I was sitting there eating, I saw a mother and father with their three kids sit down, and they were also brought a GF pizza. (Mom & one of the kids ate the GF one, with a few bites fed to the baby – Dad & other kid ate the non-GF one). And THEN, as I got up to go to the bathroom, I spied yet ANOTHER person eating a GF pizza (the crust looks very different). So, in the space of about an a half an hour, they sold 4 GF pizzas!!! I was very happy with the pizza there, and I will most DEFINITELY be going back any time I am in the area. Oh, and the best part? Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper than the Bay Area…
