Recently there have been all sorts of nice recommendations for restaurants on

the Peninsula and SF. Is there a good way for these to show up on the Gluten

Free Map which is accessible from the Links menu?

Is there an easy-to-use update tool?

I've been trying to keep up and add things as I see them, but I'm sure

I've fallen a bit behind lately. The map is set to open collaboration,

meaning anyone with a google account would be able to edit it. Save

the Gluten Free Bay Area map to My Maps, and then you can start

creating new locations or saving existing ones to this map when you're

in edit mode.

I'll try to post a tutorial. In the meantime, here's some of the

Google help docs:

Joe,

Thank you for the information. I like the idea of collaboration, and I'll check

out the Google Tutorial awaiting your next posting-your tutorial. Maybe other

technical savvy members of this group will add to the restaurant postings. All

the work shouldn't fall to you, Joe.

BTW, Joe, thank you for the hard work. We went to Zadin SF last night (on the

map) and it was terrific.

I've added to the map in the past but today tried to add " Pizza Party "

in Santa Clara and it seems Google Maps behaves a bit differently now. I

think I did successfully add it but I was unable to add a comment like I

used to be able to.

Other places I plan to add once I try them out:

Saravanan Bhavan (Indian which I heard from a fellow celiac that their

Masala Dosa's are GF as is much of their menu, but want to check it out

first)

Kara's Cupcakes

and right now I'll try to add Thai Pepper as I've eaten there

successfully a number of times recently - I just tell them I cannot eat

wheat which means no soy sauce and they check with the chef to make sure

the food is safe.
