Guest guest
Unfortunately, doctors and patients not recognizing sypmtoms as part of celiac disease is a story we hear all too often. But this can be changed. Cleo Libonati, RN, BSN wrote a book called Recognizing Celiac Disease that lists thyroid and parathyroid disorders and the underlying causes stemming from gluten and celiac disease: hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, hypoparathyroidism, thyroid disorders in selenium deficiency, etc. For example, it lists primary hyperparathyroidism from vitamin D deficiency, secondary hyperparathyroidism from calcium deficiency, and idiopathic hypoparathyroidism from calcium, phosphorus. The book contains over 300 signs, symptoms and complication. It acts as a guide to tell you which nutrient deficiencies cause which symptoms or whether the symptoms are due to the primary effect of gluten. You can save $15.00 through March 31st as part of a drive to help people become their own health advocates and get this reference to their doctors... You can see it here. http://bit.ly/RCD_BayCeliacs Libonati http://www.glutenfreeworks.comhttp://www.recognizingceliacdisease.com
