Guest guest
Thanks for all the responses on gf favorites at Costco. I made a trip last week and while I did find some goodies, I found that a lot of their gf foods, especially the Kirkland brand, stated that they were made on equipment also used to package wheat. According to my doctor (Dr. Gray at the Stanford Celiac Clinic) that is a big no-no so I have to avoid that. Regardless if I have an outward reaction or not. :(So here's a summary of recommended Costco gf foods in case anyone is looking in the future:Cashew ClustersBean Pupusas and Cheese PupusasPirate's BootyDelimex Taquitos - Chicken and BeefFrozen Chicken Strips - not breaded, but precookedSalmon BurgersNutsFruit cupsAnnie's Fruit snacks (great for kids)Fruit Roll Up Simply FruitTamalesRice Works Chipsia Frozen Potatoes/FriesRotisserie Chickenpowdered chili mix Cheesecorn tortillasrice crackersfresh fruit and veggiestortilla chipssalsa and hummuschicken apple sausagestrail mixsalad mixfage yogurt honey
Guest guest
Thanks for your list, Kate! At Costco in East Bay, I also found: Quantum Steakhouse USDA choice beef sirloin filets wrapped in applewood smoked bacon (6 filets) in the frozen section. Says " gluten free " on the label. Also, pleasse note that for some of the items on this Costco list, not all of the products actually say " gluten free " on the label. Just noting this b/c if you are having any celiac related issues, it's really important for you to choose products that include " gluten free " on the label to make sure you are safe! I learned this the hard way! :-) > > Thanks for all the responses on gf favorites at Costco.
