Guest guest
I have an appt this morning to get a referral to a pain management doc. Have yet to be free of any pain. We tried getting me off the vicodin (no probs with that thanks goodness), put me back on the tramadol and mobic. Managed only 3 1/2 days on that combo. Was hurting so bad we considered running me up to the er for some relief. Decided screw the tramadol, put a vicodin in my mouth, called the doc for an appt. Got through the weekend ok with that. Will just see what they have to say this morning! Bob and I have resigned our selfs to the fact that I will probably never really be pain free. I contacted Dr. Hu about it, she said that very well may be the way it goes for me. There is just really no telling. Except with time. Its ok, I know I can get help with the pain and I have a wonderful husband who backs me up on all of it! Hope your all ok....have had you all in my thoughts, just needed to get my head on straight I guess. The holidays pretty much did me in. My 'head doc' said I went through a post traumatic stress thing. Triggered of all things, by Christmas! But, I am back! hugs all around (15 mo out and standing tall and proud!) Guest guest
Hi , Good luck with your pain doc. I know what you mean by having to reconcile yourself to possibly never being pain free. I've been in the same position. I'm glad you decided to go to a pain doc. My pain doc has done wonders for me. Because of him, I live a very nice lifestyle. I've given up feeling sorry for myself because I need pain meds. Instead, I use that energy to enjoy life. I had to see 3 pain docs before I found one who understood my back. I hope you have luck with the first one you see, but if you don't, keep looking. Bonnie
