Guest guest
I am sure that all of us have bought g-f products in the past and then ended up throwing them away because they did not taste as good as they claim. Over the past few years, I have just stayed with the " tried and true " products that I know taste good and enjoy. So, it is great attending g-f demonstrations and trying the products first before buying. My daughter and I went to the g-f tasting at Beehive in San yesterday. " Life Tastes Good Again " was there demonstrating their products. We tasted the chocolate cake and thought it was the absolute best cake we have tasted since being diagnosed eight years ago! Chocolatey, moist and no grainy taste. He had made the cake with rice milk (instead of sour cream that is on the package) so more people could try it. The package makes a big 9'x 13 " cake and costs around $7.50. We came home and immediately made the cake (with sour cream). We frosted it with a cream cheese frosting and sprinkled coconut on it. " To Die For " are words that come to mind. Even my non g-f husband said it was the best cake he has tasted, which is really saying something! We also tasted their waffles, and they are delicious, too. My daughter bought a bag of their mixture of flours to use in baking and their recipe book. What's so great about their recipe book is that it includes easy to follow directions and uses products you are familiar with. Sue
Guest guest
Thanks Sue. Is the cake, waffles, and flour mixture a product of the store u visited or another brand? Thinking best way to order. Guest guest
They are products of a new g-f vendor called " Life Tastes Good Again. " The products that Life Tastes Good Again that Beehive (in San ) had on their shelves on Sat. were the flour mixture (a combination of 1/2 of their g-f flour mixture AND the Featherlight mixture of Bette Hagman's), vanilla cake mix and chocolate cake mix. I think what absolutely surprised me is that there is no grainy taste at all in the mixes - either in the batter or the finished product.
