Gluten in milk

Yes, it is possible that lactose was a problem, however that

does not explain why some days he would have no problem with milk and other days

he would turn into a screaming wild child hiding under the table after eating a

bowl of cereal with milk.  Finding out that some days the cows were fed the

grain mash and other days no grain at all explained why the reaction was intermittent.

Since he spent the first 2 years of his life sick because he was getting gluten

from my breast milk, it made sense that the same thing would happen when he

consumed cow’s milk from cows that were eating barley.

Of course, in the absence of any research confirming this, there

is no way to be absolutely certain of what was going on, but eliminating milk

from his diet worked, and my philosophy is to go with what works.

It's very possible that that your child could be

lactose intolerant, a very common occurrence in those of us with celiac/gluten

sensitivity.
