Guest guest
Wisconsin Mr. Stossel: It is clear that you have little understanding about Chiropractic, yet choose to single out and defame the profession. I agree with your assessment of socialized medicine and truly feel that governmental intrusion is risky in most avenues. Before you denigrate the Chiropractic profession again I would appreciate an opportunity to educate you on the profession. If you look at the statistics regarding health care in America you will see that the #1 Killer of Americans are the MD's and the Pharmaceutical industry. They passed cardiovascular and cancer a couple of years back. As an example of the obtrusive result of medications, even common over the counter non-steroidals are extremely dangerous, 17, 000 Americans die every year from the over the counter drugs... find that stat hard to believe? 1/3 of all liver failures in America are from Tylenol ingestion. Do you think that if a Jumbo jet was going down 1x per week for a year, the aviation industry would be greatly scrutinized? The pharmacy industry is not held to that standard. What about Vioxx?, etc, etc Now THAT is quackery. Guess what? ... people DIE. Yet you call me a quack? People do not die from Chiropractic adjustments....... Ever look at the educational requirement for a Chiropractic degree? Did you know that the studies show Chiropractic as a PCP is much more cost effective? Ever look at the studies showing the edge in athletic achievements in those that utilize Chiropractic care? The Chiropractic lifestyle promotes exercise, good nutrition, good thought/spirituality and care of the master control of your body... the nervous system. What most people are now calling wellness... Chiropractic has promoted for over a century. And you call me a quack? That of course would also include people like Jack LaLane... yes he too is a quack, oops I mean a Chiropractor. Great journalistic objectivity. I look forward to meeting and or educating you. D. Beebe, D.C
Guest guest
ha, you forgot to conclude with,,, 'Quack??? Give me a Break!!!' Stossel has made a name for himself using sniveling drivel in order to punch holes in ideas theories etc..Rarely do i agree with him and rarely do you see him expound on ideas in which solve a problem. If you read the article and then the article about how "wrong" is, it is clear that he is somewhat an anti socialist, thats it. What in the hell does he know about the intricacies of health care? He's got enough money to afford that "Fed Ex" type of care he refers to and plenty of disregard to spread around. Also, the moron's reference to us as quacks was an example of tax payers paying for something they don't necessarily believe in. Great example Stossel. As if there isn't any of that going on already in our tax system. ph Medlin, DCSpine Tree Chiropractic1627 NE Alberta St.Portland, OR 97211 Wisconsin Mr. Stossel: It is clear that you have little understanding about Chiropractic, yet choose to single out and defame the profession.
