I always eat before the wedding. If the reception is at a different place than the ceremony I might stop and eat on the way over to the reception. Our weddings tend to go from about noon until midnight so I keep a few protein bars in my purse or I'll duck out to get a quick bite at a nearby restaurant. Hello all:

I'm to attend three wedding events at the end of this month. I'm looking for tips on how to manage, given it's likely to have few GF choices. Any advice you have is welcome.

I'm to attend an anniversary dinner served outdoors. The hostess knows I eat GF; she uneasily asked what to tell the caterer to provide for me. She clearly was relieved when I said I'd bring my own "picnic basket".

I've had good experiences contacting the caterer myself, if the wedding couple

doesn't mind. I explain that my diet's a little complicated so it would be

easier for me to speak with them directly.

Talk to the wedding couple and find out if they can contact their caterer or give you the information so that you can talk to them. I've had very good luck with professional caterers. I usually get a rather bland broiled chicken meal but (knock wood) I've always been OK when they have been forewarned. Have a great time. cheryl b.From: benicia236 <benicia236@...>Subject: [ ] Enjoying a wedding Date: Saturday, May 8, 2010, 11:44 AM

I agree; in most situations, that will work very well.
