Guest guest
But when it comes to CR, as I have understood, there is no consensus in the grazing vs. gorging matter. So it is not clear whether "gorging" (= one meal a day or one meal every other day) is better or worse than "grazing" (a lot of small meals). The above was from a digest of 9-19. My comment is that a long-------time ago, a study was done on children in camp. Some were fed three meals a day and some were fed only once a day. It was theorized that the ones that did great on once a day meals derived from a genetically different group of ancestors than those that didn't. Perhaps that accounts for the way people differ in their reaction to different diets, Atkins, Pritikin or what ever. I have not see any follow up to this study, but do remember that there are certain African tribes that are capable of eating a great deal of meat at a sitting and storing it as fat. Then there are other tribes that can't. Perhaps my data is so old that it is obsolete, but I thought that may be of interest to those of us who swear by one way of eating and may think it would work for everyone. Specifically, I am thinking grazing, Vs more of an Atkin's diet. On a different topic--do different sources of Guar Gum taste differently? I had to throw out the Key Lime Pie I made. Tasted like dry wall mud.
