Al,

thank you so much for sharing your data.

I sure don't have any suggestions, other than that Suzanne Cart seems to

have found a way to keep her bone mass up with the heavy weight lifting 4

times weekly.

I note that your diet is similar to mine, but the results are quite

different. So different it wouldn't be very instructive to share mine

except to say that without lipitor my total cholesterol and ldl are both

about double yours. I am also still overweight, just inching out of the

obese category, so the difference may simply be that. Calories for me are

also about 40% less than ad lib, with moderate exercise. I average 1700

to 1800 calories daily, now (again, at last) which is about right for my

height, but surprising considering weight and very slow weight loss.

Doctor says my thyroid is fine. Metoprolol may be depressing rate of

metabolism in addition to the effect of the reduce food intake. Energy is

often quite low. I am currently deliberately being enthusiastic instead of

analytical as a means of helping the energy problem and making life a little

more worth extending. My enthusiastic self says " Wow! Terrific! " and my

rational self says " hmmmmm, seems to be working so far, but it feels a

little silly. "

I am very impressed with your battery of tests. Thank you again. Also for

the continuing research information, which I find fascinating.

Ed S.
