My doc (who does chelation, candida treatment, etc). says it is a sign of metal toxicity, which certainly can be from mercury (fillings, seafood, etc). He says you taste the metal when your body has reached the limit of what the liver can handle, and " the rainbarrel is running over " . He says that once you detox the liver enough to allow it to catch up, the metal taste will subside (usually a few weeks). That doesn't mean that you are no longer toxic on the metal, just that the toxicity is then within what the liver can haqndle. If you have leaky gut, you will not *ever* detoxify, as whatever your liver removes will jsut be reabsorbed through the leaky colon. So it's a complicated problem, and all the organ systems work together. You gotta get your colon working in order to detox all the other organs, since it and the kidneys are the only ones (besides the skin and the lungs) that can actually get the bad stuff out of your body Lynn
Guest guest
Mine isn't a metal taste, it is a metal smell on my breath. How do you do a metal detox? I thought it was just worms, so that was how I was dealing with it. ~Karma Re: metal taste In a message dated 1/6/01 9:09:54 PM Eastern Standard Time, moriam@... writes:> Regarding metal taste: I have read that metal taste can> also come from metal toxicity (such as from mercury poisoning).> I don't have this.
