Guest guest Posted December 21, 2008 Report Share Posted December 21, 2008 I have not posted in a few months but I have been told by an orthopedic/spine doctor that my MRI showed my previous surgery for L5=S1 never fused and there is significant narrowing, and a diffusedisc bulge...T12-L1 also have mild disc space narrowing-------doctor said i have pseudoarthosis throughout the spine and he wants to do a procedure called ALIF-anterior lumbar interbody fusion...of course he made it sound so easy and no big deal since he has done so many of them with a vasular surgeon....I know i have alot of spine pain and i know i need something done but i asked him about my upper spine and he said he doesnt handle that, i would need to see a neurosurgeon at a later date.....does this scenerio sound familiar to anyone??? I have already seen Dr. Errico several years ago and am wondering if anyone knows of another doctor in the ny/nj/pa area???
